The term “Melting Pot” is commonly used to represent our diverse society, but it’s original meaning was meant to strip people of their differences and uniqueness to create a homogeneous, conformist, and assimilated people. When you put different things into a melting pot, they all melt together and you can’t tell what they were before.

Over the past 2 years we’ve gone through a lot as a band as well as individuals. As we continue to grow, we’ve seen many ups and downs, people come and go, and the many obstacles of life being thrown at us as we all struggle to keep the inner kid within us alive. This album is about resisting the expectation of conformity and to hold on to what makes you happy and to what makes you different from the rest. It’s about the awkward transition from adolescence to adulthood, experiences we all will face at this time in life, and many other things some of you might relate to. We shouldn’t accept the idea of a “Melting Pot”. Never forget your uniqueness or abandon what you love, even in the face of growing up.
